“The Adversary & the War”

FOCUS

Can you imagine an adversary so wicked, cunning, baffling, powerful, evil & ruthless that his agenda for you is to attack & antagonize you with his lies every day for the rest of your life until the day you die with the hope of keeping you destroyed eternally? You may have already figured out you don’t need to imagine an enemy like that. You & everyone you know already has one like that & yes, his name is Satan - a.k.a. Lucifer, the serpent, the devil, the evil one, the liar & the deceiver.

Today we’re going to be putting the light of God’s word on the darkness of our adversary the devil exposing his existence, agenda, schemes & lies.

The Reality of Spiritual Warfare Calls Us to …

1. acknowledge & address the adversary & his agenda.

Ignorance, indifference, denial or deception are very real battles in this war.

John 8:42-45 (esp v44) & 10:10 2 Corinthians 2:11 1 Peter 5:8-9

2. see ourselves as overcoming victors in Christ.

We are who God says we are whether we know &/or believe it or not.

1 John 4:1-6 (especially v4) & 5:1-5 (especially vs4-5) / Revelation 12:10-12 (especially v11)

Making It Real

1] How aware of (never focused on) the enemy in your life have you been?

2] Will you sincerely seek to see yourself as the overcomer in Christ that you are?

Action Step

If you have any doubt as to your eternal fate, seek God today to settle it for sure.
